Belem Garcia, from San Carlos, is a top pickleball player and trainer in the country. Garcia has been an athlete since she was young, spending many years playing softball. She has now devoted her attention to pickleball, winning many tournaments but also contributing a lot to the growth of the sport in her community and beyond.

 

Garcia has a huge, consistent serve, often giving her and her team an advantage from the start of the point. Once she gets to the non-volley zone, it is hard to get past her. And if you leave any ball slightly high, she will end the rally quickly with aggressive volleys. She excels in fast-paced play. She is a fierce competitor in both singles and doubles, always with a smile on her face.
